The Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, in Ondo State has said that the just concluded party’s congress for the Southwest in Osun State was a good start for the party to win the 2023 general elections.
The party boasted of springing surprise in the coming general election.
This was stated by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olujimi Oluseye during a programme on Radio Nigeria FM in Akure, the State capital.
Oluseye, who made known that the party after the congress is now stronger and more united said the political battle ahead of 2023 is between the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
“Looking at the accreditation and after the congress the party remains stronger. The accreditation showed that the PDP is a party of structure.
“l was baffled that people said there was ghost voting. People that came for the accreditation were people of unquestionable character. The congress was so open and clear”
He added that the congress was an attempt to reposition the party in the southwest which has indicated that the party is on the right path.
Asked if there was no grievances among members in the state, he said ” before now there was reconciliation committee with a gradual process, we need everyone to participate before we can win election.
The secretary said all hands must be on deck to move the party forward to the path of victory in 2023.
