Sunshine Queens dedicate feat to God

The management of Sunshine queens FC has described as satisfactory the victory achieved over Rivers angels in the losers final tie at the just concluded NWPL super four playoffs as well deserved and satisfactory.

Team manager of the Akure based football club Mojisola Adekanye while fielding questions from newsmen said the 3rd place finish was a clear indication of many good results to come

She said the entire management of the team were satisfied with the result and will sure do more to motivate the girls ahead of the new season.

According to her , ” We are proud of our girls and I will like to tell you that we are dedicating the feat achieved this out gone season to God almighty who stood by us despite some stiff challenges”

“Sheshema” as she is fondly called also commended the league authorities for putting up a crisis free abridged league, urging them to correct lapses discovered in the forthcoming league season

Sunshine queens, could be recalled narrowly lost its first match of the season against eventual league winners one nil at the super four before recording a well deserved win against Aiteo Cup winners Rivers Angels in the losers final tie to end the league as the third best team in the country.

Ameachi Ojini’s own Goal in the 7th minute via a rofiat Imuran’s low drive from the left flank was all sunshine queens needed to claim the deserved win after clear cut chances to increase the tally were missed by mercy Idoko and Goodness Ihuoma.
