Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has affirmed that Sunshine Stars Football Club will play their next home match at the Akure township stadium.

The Governor said the team will not be relegated in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Speaking at a youth forum in Akure, Aiyedatiwa said all hands are on deck to ensure that the team maintained their top-flight status.

According to him, “Sunshine Stars will play their next home game at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure”.

Currently, Sunshine Stars sit in 19th position on the league table with 38 points from 33 matches played.

Their next fixture is an away clash against Rivers United in Port Harcourt.
