Super Falcons defeat Cameroon, qualify for World Cup

Super Falconsof Nigeria yesterday defeated Cameroon indomitable Lioness 1-0 to qualify for the semi final of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations WAFCON decided at Stade Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade scored the lone goal that secured the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup ticket as well as propelled the team to the semi-final of the ongoing 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON in Morocco,

In the 3rd quarter-final match against the Indomitable lionesses of Cameroon, the Athletico Madrid female club attacker headed home Ifeoma Onumonu’s cross to hand the Randy Waldrum led ladies a crucial victory.

The goal is Rasheedat’s 3rd in the tournament with two assists

The Super Falcons will now face host nation, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the last four .
