Chairman, Owo Local Government, Chief Samuel Olabade Adegbegi has charged political office holders and the entire work force in the sunshine state to give their support and unflinching loyalty to the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as he works hard to put the state in a strong and virile economic position.
Adegbegi, said “It is our collective responsibility, as political office holders and civil servants, to do our very best, working with the governor to make the sunshine state a strong and virile economy where everybody will live to attain his or her heart desires “.
The council boss gave this charge at the Swearing-Ceremony of the newly appointed Secretary to the local government, Mr Taye Babatunde Adako.
Adegbegi, has sworn-in, Mr Taye Babatunde Adako as the Secretary to the Local Government.
He enjoined the newly appointed Council Secretary to see his appointment as a challenge and call to duty.
The Council Boss, however, urged the Secretary to the Local Government, to be absolutely loyal to the administrative guidelines, financial regulations and other relevant provisions as provided by the law.
While appreciating the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, Adegbegi, said he is particularly grateful to the Governor for the honour done him to be the council chairman.
In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Taye Babatunde Adako, thanked the State Governor and the Council Chairman for the opportunity given him to serve.
Adako, however, promised to keep to the trust bestowed on him while assuring of his readiness to deliver all duties required of him as the secretary effectively to the people of the local government area.
The occasion was attended by the Vice Chairman, Owo Local Government, Omosuwa Olayemi Maxwell, the Oliyere of Iyere Kingdom, Oba Omotude Alaba Adako and his Council of Chiefs and leaders of the All Progressive Congress in the council area.
