Nigerians have been advised to massively support the continuity agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari to enable them witness enhanced lifestyle in line with the Next Level mantra of All Progressives Congress (APC)

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) gave the admonition while addressing the APC General Meeting of Ijebu 2 Ward 5 during which Leaders of the party in the ward empowered several people including farmers, artisans, traders with cash and relevant equipments.

The Governor assured that the second term of President Buhari would bring about total transformation across all sectors of Nigerian economy.

Akeredolu who enjoined members of APC to close ranks and be united towards electing all APC candidates to the House of Assembly, National Assembly and Presidential elections, said the continuity of President Buhari will stabilise Nigeria for unprecedented development.

While commending the ward leaders for their kind gesture, he described them as worthy party members who are committed to lifting the party to a higher level.

He, however, enjoined the beneficiaries to use the empowerment materials to create wealth and also urged those who got cash empowerment to invest the money in profitable businesses.

The event also witnessed the defection of hundreds of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Receiving the new members, APC Chairman in Owo Local Government, Chief Sydney Ogunleye while welcoming the new members, assured them of equal treatments.

The Chairman, who congratulated them for walking out of darkness and into light, commended them for their desire to support the Akeredolu-led administration in his quest to move the state forward.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, former PDP Councilor and a two-time Supervisor in Owo Local Government, Hon Felix Ikeolu, attributed their defection to the numerous achievements of the Akeredolu-led administration across the state and in Owo.

“In less than two years in office, we have witnessed first-it’s-kind infrastructural development across the 18 local government areas of the State and this is worthy of commendation.

“Our former party has nothing to point to, especially in Owo Local Government and we wondered what they would campaign with as the 2019 general election is fast approaching.

“For the numerous other people-oriented programmes of this administration, we realised that we do not have another option than to join the governor to move the state forward and also vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming general election”, he said.

Some beneficiaries of the empowerment materials, Mrs Adijat Ajibola, who benefited from the distribution of the Grinding machines and Mr Joseph Panboto, who was given a brand new motorcycle, commended the Ward leaders for their benevolence.

While describing the empowerment as a gesture that would go a long way in alleviating their sufferings, they pledged to continue to support the Akeredolu-led administration who has deemed it fit to succour them.
