The newly inaugurated members of the Ondo state Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria, AWMN, have been charged to ensure they give their best to ensure they support the current state government in ensuring a cleaner and safer Ondo state.
Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Waste Management Authority, Bola Ogidan, called on the executive members to work together and be diligent at the tasks they are charged with.
National President, AWAMN, David Oluwasegun Oriyomi said that leaders must be opened to criticism, advising the state executive members to work assiduously with the state Ministry of Environment.
He also advised that the policy of the state must be complied with, adding that it takes team work for any team to succeed
The state Chairman of the body, Adedigba Olokungboye appreciated Ondo state government “for opening the space and equally grant us approval to participate in her waste management management programme through the enactment of enabling laws and establishment of institutional frame works to ensure a clean and healthy environment for work, dwelling and recreation.
He also appreciated “Ondo state waste management authority for their regulatory, supervisory roles and their support always. We are immensely grateful to the national leadership of the associations for their support always especially today occasion”
