A yet-to-be-identified suspected cultist was on Sunday shot dead in Osogbo by rival cult members.
It was gathered that the deceased, around 5:pm on Sunday, was chased by six persons on two motorcycles from Ibokun axis to Sasa area in Osogbo where he was shot dead.
It will be recalled that some suspected cultists smashed the head of one Shogo with a stone last week in Osogbo.
An eyewitness told The Hope Metro that the other cult members picked up a short gun that was dropped by the deceased, turned their motorcycles and headed towards Ibokun road.
Contacted the Public Relations Officer of Osun State Command, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident on Monday.
She said:”One Olarewaju Tosin, 21, residence of Eko-Ende road Ikirun was arrested and efforts are ongoing to arrest fleeing suspect SCID investigating,” she said.
Opalola disclosed that the corpse of the young boy has been deposited at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital morgue in Osogbo.
