‘Suspects who gang raped Health Tech Akure students in court soon’

Three students of the School of Health Technology in Akure who reportedly gang raped a female student of the institution would be charged to court this week, The Hope metro can authoritatively reveal.
To this end, the state Police Command has said it has concluded investigation and assembled every facts necessary for their arraignment in court.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph who disclosed this to The Hope Metro yesterday said the suspects who were currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Akure will be charged with rape.
“We have concluded investigation into the matter. I can assure you that the suspects will be charged to court this week. We have assembled all our facts necessary for prosecution. Justice must be seen to be done in the case,” he stated.
The PPRO assured the victim’s family that justice would be done in the case to serve as deterrent to others who might want to involve in the nefarious act in future.
It would be recalled that the accused simply identified as Aderoboye Damilola, Eyitayo Charles and Blessing Michael allegedly conspired to gang rape a female student of the institution in her boyfriend’s house, a few kilometers away from the school.
However, the recent incident came barely few weeks after a 300level student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko was raped by a soldier at Ikare junction, while the case had since been charged to court with the suspect remanded at Olokuta prison custody.
