Suspended RCCG Pastor launches new ministry in Lagos

Suspended pastor Idowu Iluyomade, formerly of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s(RCCG) City of David Parish, has established a new ministry called “The Family Fellowship” in Lagos.

Iluyomade’s decision to start the fellowship comes after his suspension by the RCCG in June 2024, following controversy over his wife, Pastor Siju’s, 60th birthday celebration.

The event, held shortly after the tragic passing of prominent church member Herbert Wigwe, drew widespread criticism due to its timing.

The inaugural service of “The Family Fellowship” took place at the Civic Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, marked by joyful dancing and celebration.

Inviting the public to join the fellowship, Iluyomade assured attendees of a fulfilling and meaningful experience.

He wrote on Instagram, “The Family Fellowship invites you specially. Join us tomorrow at the Civic Centre for a special time in the Lord’s presence. Promises to be a great experience.”
