THE Kwara State Police Commissioner, Adekimi Ojo has canvassed a police body, devoid of corrupt practices and vices that negated the international standard of the paramilitary body.
The state Police boss spoke yesterday while receiving a total of 142 newly passed-out Police Constables at the Command headquarters in Ilorin.
The new police officers had undergone six months rigorous training at the Police Training School, Ilorin.
The training came to an end with a colourful passing-out-parade ceremony on Tuesday, October 7 2025.
Besides, Ojo, while welcoming the constables into the Nigeria Police Force, urged them to sustain integrity, discipline, professionalism, and most importantly respect for the rule of law and human rights while discharging their duties.
He reiterated the importance of discipline which he described as the bedrock of the Nigeria Police, adding, “shun corrupt practices and work in line with best international standard procedures.”
The Commissioner appreciated the leadership acumen of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun,for his exemplary leadership style which he noted is anchored on proactive intelligence-led policing and strategic community engagements.
The CP thanked Egbetokun for providing a conducive environment for the training of the police constables just as he lauded Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara State Governor for his continued support to the Command.
Ojo added, “His Excellency has approved a two-week comprehensive intelligence operations programme for the new police constables by Assistant Inspector General of Police, Fimihan Adeoye rtd.
“This training begins on 26th of October, 2025. Upon its completion, the constables will be deployed to their respective local government areas in the state to further strengthen field operations and analytical capabilities.”
