In readiness for the Ondo state chapter of  Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, election , the association’s electoral committee (SWANECO) which has  Mr Olayemi Oke of African Independent Television AIT as chairman, Mr Bisi Longe of Society magazine and Femi Atolagbe of The Hope newspaper as members screened and cleared five contestants vying for different positions in the association.

The contestants are, Wahab Bankole, OSRC; Michael Akintunde, Adaba; Segun Giwa NAN, Bunmi Afuye, Orange FM and Isaac Afolabi positive FM.

Mr Wahab Bankole, who spoke on behalf of the contestants expressed satisfactions over the screening exercise, saying the screening was thorough and transparent.

He appreciated the electoral committee for doing a good and thorough job.

The Chairman of SWANECO, Mr Olayemi Oke assured all the contestants of free fair and credible exercise.

He added that as soon as the SWANECO receives information from the national body, the election date will be communicated to all the candidates and all the SWAN members in the state.
