T ‘FG ‘ll support Unity Schools with creative ideas’

The Federal Ministry of Education will continue to support and encourage its Unity Schools that have initiative to be creative and innovative.
The duo of Mrs Elizabeth Adedigba and Mallam Awalu Koko, both directors, technology and science education and human resources management respectively at the ministry declared during the end of sessions activities of Federal Science and Technical College, Ikare Akoko.
According to them, the ministry will do anything within its capabilities to encourage Unity Schools to grow.
The college principal, Dr Olodo said she and the management team were desirous of making the school stand on its own thereby reducing its total reliance on government for funds to run its programmes.
Some of the projects embarked upon by the school are bakery, garri processing factory, musical band and ICT which were later commissioned.
She lauded Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for intervening in the encroachment of the school’s by trespassers.
She disclosed that the s school will be going into large scale cassava plantation very soon to boost the garri processing industry.
Dr Olodo also commended the student’s for their orderliness and good academic performance.
A community leader and the National Organising Secretary of Ansar ud deen society of Nigeria, Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani who commissioned the garri industry extolled the virtues of the school principal.
