Tackle insecurity, Adeogun charges govt

Government at all levels have been charged to find a lasting solution to security challenges confronting the nation to give room for progress and development of the country at large.
A member of the House of Representatives, Mr Ade Adeogun gave the advice while speaking at the 10th annual state conference of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations of Nigeria (FOMWAN) held at Oka-Akoko in Ondo state.
Adeogun who was represented by Alhaji Alonge Abubakar said the rate of insecurity has gone beyond expectation which has affected all facets of life irrespective of race and culture.
The state Amirah (President) of FOMWAN, Alhaja Aminat Abeebullahi Akinpelumi in her welcome speech, advocated for the establishment of a law, rules, regulations and monitoring mechanism in University communities and to punish those who violates them as deterrent to others.
In his Keynote address, the Olubaka of Oka land, Oba (Dr) Yusuf Adebori Adeleye said everybody should be engaged in training the children which he said would help in transforming the nation to a better society .
He said the theme is very apt with the prevailing challenges in the country and aimed at sensitizing women about the trends in the society.
He however assured the traditional rulers on the commitment to ensure that every child gets necessary training required to make the state a better one.
The Chief Imam of Supare Akoko who is also the Secretary of League of imams Ondo state, Alhaji Akerele AbdulRasheed charged women on training their children towards proper upbringing for effective change for the development of the nation.
He urged them not to relent but to ensure that the battle of insecurity and other anomalies are addressed to a logical conclusion.
The Chairman of Community and Humanitarian Services, Alhaja Rafat Momoh charged government to carry along the NGOs in it’s programmes so that women at the grassroots are sensitized to solve their problems holistically.
