TAMPAN presents ‘Kogun ma ja lu’

The Ondo State chapter of Theatre and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), has been charged to always embark on researches, innovations, self improvement for adequate future plans.
The charge was given during the association’s festival by the chairman of the ocassion, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, APC Chairman in Ondo State while delivering his opening speech.
The festival titled “Kogun ma ja lu” held at the Adegbemile Cultural Centre hall in Akure Ondo State had in attendance a handful of association members and eminent people in the society.
Adetimehin encouraged the members to always showcase love, unity, cooperation in their works, ways of life, urging them as image makers of the world to always sue for peace and harmony in the State.
During her lecture on the first day of the event, the guest speaker, Veteran Nollywood actress and lecturer from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye, Dr Joke Muyiwa, expressed her delight on the celebration of the 2021 Ondo State chapter of TAMPAN festival.
She stressed the importance of unity and further charged members to avoid disunity as “it can be cancerous, destructive and can linger over a period of time if not properly addressed.”
Muyiwa urged the practitioners to painstakingly follow necessary procedures that would enhance their copyrights and avoid being exploited as right owners.
According to her, passion and modestly is the key to success in acting career. She added that not until when a lady sleeps with producers before she could be successful.
She urged them not to compete with anybody in the movie industry, advising them to stand on their own saying by the grace of God they would be great in life
In a goodwill message by the TAMPAN’S Governor in the state, Osorun Adebayo Jacob and delivered by the Chairman, Planning Committee, Osorun Aderemi Kamala, he prayed the practitioners especially, youths to improve on their diction, and manner of articulation in their various projects.
It was an amazing performance from different local governments when they acted on the theme ‘Kogun ma ja lu’ that described the situation and the problems facing the country presently.
However, the State Governor of TAMPAN, Osorun Adebayo Jacob appreciated everyone for attending the festival praying that God will be with them.
He called on the government to save the industry from piracy, urging the Federal Task Force on Piracy to be more proactive in dealing with culprits of pirates, urging the government to support the industry with fund.
The distinguished personalities who were honoured by the association were Hon. Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Chairman APC in Ondo State, Hon. Dare Aragbaye, S.A. Union Matters and Special Duties, Award of Excellence, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, Amotekun Commander, Award of Excellence, Hon. Kunle Adebayo, Chairman OSRC media group, Award as man of culture (AGBASAGA), Primate, Dr. Ade Ademisokun Turton, Onibode of Ibode Aseyori Award PHILANTHROPIST, and His Royal Highness, Oba David Olajide Okunato, The Iresi of Osi land in Akure North local government, Award PHILANTHROPIST.
