The Chairman/Editor -In -Chief of Owena Press Limited, Sir Ademola Adetula said that the paper has been a vanguard for the dissemination of timely and accurate information about the Ondo State and its citizenry.
The chairman made the statement while playing host to members of Nigeria Institute of Estate Surveyor and Valuers (NIESV) Ondo State chapter in his office on Tuesday.
Adetula, who noted that people don’t appreciate what they have said the paper covers the state and its environs more than any other national dailies.
“For a long time, we have been at the forefront of fighting for the interest of Ayetoro Community in Ilaje Local Government area of the state over sea incursion, not because we have anything to gain but we draw attention of international community to the plight of the community,” he said
He expressed readiness to partner with NIESV for the benefit of both organizations.
Adetula called for the need to see more of the institution becoming more loud in addressing lapses in the building industry that lead to building collapse.
Earlier in address, the State Chairman of the institution, Mr.Oloruntoba ldris, said the purpose of the courtesy visit was to partner with Owena Press Limited on promoting advocacy for people to know more about the institution for them not to fall into the hands of quake Estate Surveyor and Valuers.
He said the upcoming valuation day of the institution which will commence today will end on May 5 with theme “Valuation Key to Decision Making for Asset and Resources Optimization,”
On his part, the Vice Chairman of the institution and Chairman of the committee for the day, Mr. Akintomide Akinlabi, commended the Adetula for his efforts in publishing quality stories which he said are more detail than national dailies.
