Three men, Yahya Laisi, 20, Ahmed jimoh, 22, Nurudeen AbdulKareem, 32, have appeared before an Akure Magistrate’s court over alleged armed robbery.
According to the prosecution, the defendant committed the offence on March 12, 2020 at about midnight at plot 9 Block A Ayalodi layout, Akure in Ondo State.
The defendants were said to have conspired and armed with gun and others offensive weapons, and shot into the bedroom of one Temidayo Falade, F, and robbed her of the following items; One l.G, smart flat screen T.V value N95,000.00, two Tecno handsets value, N100,000.00, one Samsung A20 value, N52.000.00,one infinix Hot 5 value N40,000.00, and cash sum of N98,000.00.
The offence was said to be contrary to and punishable under section 6(a),1,2,(a),and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms(special provision)Acc Cap R11,of the criminal Cap 37 volume 1, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The prosecuting, inspector Sulaiman Abdulateef prayed the Court to remand the accused person’s in prison custody.
Lawyer representing the defendants, Mr O.A Adeyeoluwa did not oppose prayer said by the prosecutor.
Magistrate, A.A.T, Oyedele adjourned the case till July 30, 2020, and ordered that the defendants be remanded in police custody.
