A motorcyclist and his two passengers were crushed to death on Sunday evening along the Osogbo/Gbongan road in Osun.

Confirming the incident, Kehinde Adeleke, spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State, said the accident involved a Toyota Camry and a motorcycle with the number plate AKD 810 QX.

She stated that officers from the command visited the accident scene to assess the situation.

In another incident in Sekona town, Osun State, no fewer than 22 people sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident involving a Hummer bus and a van.

According to the NSCDC spokesperson, the driver of the Hummer bus fell asleep while driving, leading to a head-on collision with an oncoming van.

Adeleke said the passengers sustained injuries, while the driver of the Hummer bus suffered fractured legs.

She added that three people were involved in the Fiat Van, while 19 were injured in the Toyota Hummer bus.

The victims were initially taken to Sekona Government Clinic for first aid and later transferred to Uniosun Teaching Hospital by government ambulance for further medical attention.
