The police prosecutor, Adeoye Adesegun, told the court that the accused persons conspired  to commit breach of peace in Ala Community by throwing stones at each another.

He said the  offence is contrary to Section 249(d) of the Criminal Code Cap 37, Vol . 1Laws of Ondo State Nigeria, 2006.

The defence counsel, T.O Aguda, prayed the court to grant his client bail in most liberal terms.

In his ruling, Magistrate Olanipekun Mayomi admitted the accused person to N200,000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

He thereafter adjourned the case till June 14, 2022 for hearing.

In a related case, a 28-year-old man, Wasiu Oloyede has been dragged before an Ore Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly assaulting one Opeyemi Adifala.

The defendant was brought before Chief Magistrate O. A Omofolarin on two counts of felony and assault.

According to the prosecution, Oloyede inflicted injury on Adifala with a fist blow on May 14, 2022, at about 3.00 pm at Idimango Area, Ore in the Ore magisterial district.

The offence contravenes Sections 351, 355 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Vol. I, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge against him.

The prosecutor, Inspector Martins Gbenga prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him study the case file.

The defence counsel, Mr ikudaisi  O. J did not oppose the prosecutor’s application. But he  applied for the bail of the defendant in most liberal terms.

Omofolarin, in her ruling, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She, however, ordered the remand of the  defendant in Okitipupa Correctional Centre pending the perfection of his bail.

The case was adjourned till June 6, 2022, for a hearing.
