They said this is the time for prayers for Governor Akeredolu and not a time to play politics with the health of a man whose tenure has been laced with high profile achievements.

The Chairman, League of Imams and Alfas in Ondo State, Sheikh Ahmad Aladesawe while commenting on the rumoured death of the state’s number one citizen said the governor must not die.

Sheikh Aladesawe who is also the Chief Imam of Owo land said Akeredolu, like all mortals is susceptible to sickness, but warned against making his health issues a political or personal issue.

According to him, the governor, at this time, needs the well wishes of the people of the state more than before.

Aladesawe who has been offering special prayers for the governor both on Jumat services and special occasions, prayed that Allah in his infinite mercy gives him speedy recovery.

“Akeredolu like all mortals is bound to fall sick. What he needs now is our prayers and not for anyone or group of people to take his health condition personally or try to exploit political millage from it.
