Tinubu, Aiyedatiwa, Oyebanji, others felicitate Muslims on Eidel-fitri

President Bola Tinubu and the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa have called on Nigerians to uphold the values of the Holy month of Ramadan and continue on the path of righteousness.
They made the call yesterday.
The President emphasised the importance of unity, good health, and national progress.
“We saw the beginning, we started together, and we are ending together in good health and happiness. We must continue to pray for our country and all our people,” President Tinubu stated.
He urged Nigerians not to abandon the discipline and virtues learned during Ramadan, stressing that the lessons of the Holy month should guide their actions beyond the fasting period.
“Everything we have observed during this sacred month should not be reversed. We must not return to a path that is unacceptable. That is my prayer for all,” he added.
The President also called for caution and mutual respect, urging citizens to avoid actions that could cause division or harm to others.
The Eid prayers, attended by top government officials and dignitaries, marked the end of Ramadan, a month dedicated to fasting, reflection, and devotion.
The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in his message congratulated the muslim community in the State as they celebrated Eid-el-fitr, imploring them to rekindle their commitment to unity and love for fellow residents.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated Muslims for successfully completing the holy month of Ramadan, a period dedicated to fasting, prayer, reflection, and service to community.
The governor said: “As you mark the end of this sacred month, I rejoice with you on this year’s Eid-el-fitr and urge you to use this celebration to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan.
“I urge you to continue to embody the virtues of patience, love, compassion, and self-discipline cultivated during Ramadan.
“As we celebrate this season with you, may Allah shower His countless blessings upon you and your loved ones.
The governor prayed that this year’s Eid will bring blessings, peace and prosperity for all muslim faithful, expressing optimism for a sustained peaceful coexistence in the State.
While thanking Muslim clerics and leaders across the State for their support and prayers for his administration, the governor promised to continue to provide conducive environment for religious harmony in the State.
In the same vein, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji stressed the need for Muslims to maintain the level of spirituality that characterised the Ramadan period all through the year.
The governor, in his goodwill message, signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, on Sunday, congratulated the Muslim faithful on the completion of the 29 or 30-day fast, stressing the need to maintain the level of spirituality that characterised the Ramadan period all through the year.
Oyebanji, admonished Muslims to put the teachings of the holy month to good use in all undertakings, urging them and adherents of other religions to continue to live in love, peace, and harmony with one another as brothers and sisters.
While noting that Ramadan is a season of discipline and sacrifice, the governor urged Muslims to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with modesty, emphasising the need to show love and care for the needy above any other form celebration.
He stressed that prayers by the faithful are needed for the state and the country more than ever for God’s blessings and for greater level of peace and prosperity.
The governor ,who commended Muslims in the state for their unflinching support for his administration through prayers, counsel, and active participation in governance, urged them not to relent in their sundry constructions to the religious harmony and peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed in the state.
He urged adherents of all religions in the state to join the government in promoting peace and orderliness which are necessary condition for sustainable growth and development, leading to shared prosperity for all.
In his message, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji called on the fathful to rededicate themselves to the service of Allah and humanity, which is the essence of their existence.
In a congratulatory message personally signed and made available to journalists, Oladiji urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and embrace one another with forgiveness and love.
The Speaker, who rejoiced with all Muslim brothers and sisters across the state, admonished them to always adhere strictly to the teachings and lessons of Islam.
Stressing the need for peaceful coexistence and the promotion of unity during and after the festival, the Speaker lauded the Governor of the state, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his exemplary love for the people of the state and the various landmark achievements recorded by his administration.
Oladiji wished Muslim faithful a joyous celebration and prayed for continued progress and peace in Nigeria.
