Tinubu, Akande, Ooni, others grace Akeredolu daughter’s wedding

The Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and other members of their immediate Family yesterday appreciated God Almighty for the successful wedding ceremony of their daughter, Teniola and her husband Olatunde Oyeyiola.

 At the thanksgiving service held at the Chapel of Epiphany Anglican Church, Owo, the  Vicar of the Church, Canon Charles Awosusi congratulated the governor and his wife for giving their daughter’s hand in marriage.

 While wishing the newly wedded couple all the best in their marital journey, the cleric admonished them to always seek the face of God in all they do and harped on the need to seek God’s wisdom at all times.

 In his sermon titled “Wisdom from Above”, Canon Awosusi noted that wisdom comes with obedience, sacrifice, just as he advised the couple not to relent in their prayers and love for God.

 Prayers were later offered for the couple, Ondo state and Nigeria at large at the service.

 Earlier on Saturday, the ancient town of Owo,  gave their daughter’s hand in marriage.

 Dignitaries including politicians, captain of Industries, academics, religious leaders and traditional rulers as well as top government functionaries attended the colourful traditional wedding held at the residence of Governor Akeredolu in Owo.

 Former Lagos State Governor and National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande; Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state; Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, as well as Minister of State Labour and Employment, Senator Tayo Alasoadura graced the occasion.

 Others who attended the traditional wedding include: Former Governor of Ogun State and serving senator, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his Oyo State counterpart, Senator Abiola Ajumobi.

 Other prominent personalities present included, Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora; First Ladies of Edo State, Betsy Obaseki; Lagos State, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Nasarawa State, Hajia Silifat A. A Sule.

 The rest are, immediate past Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko; immediate past governor of Adamawa, Bala James Ngilari; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi, Ojaja II; Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas and  Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Frederick Akinruntan; Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye; members of Ondo State Executive Council; the State lawmakers led by the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun; helmsmen in the 18 Local Government Councils in the state and several other top government functionaries.

 The event was also witnessed by other dignitaries including, Eric Teniola; Dr Wale Babalakin; Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN, Yusuf Alli, SAN, many Judges of the state Judiciary led by the Chief Judge,  Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu and the President of the Industrial Court, Justice Babatunde Adejumo and wife, among several others.

 The event started with engagement ceremony and guests were later treated to a reception held at Mydas.

 The couples Teniola and Olatunde Oyeyiola who could not hide their joy appreciated God and well meaning Nigerians that graced the event.
