Tinubu orders overhaul of N-Power scheme

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the overhaul of the N-Power Scheme to boost its effectiveness and ensure it delivers greater value.

Presidential media aide, Dada Olusegun, made this known in a statement shared on his X handle.

Olusegun said the initiative is set to provide youths with targeted training and connect them to the market space and private sector, enabling them to translate their acquired skills into tangible job opportunities.

He disclosed that over 100,000 items have been procured to empower young Nigerians nationwide, adding that Tinubu has approved N32.7bn for the implementation of the National Social Investment Programme in 2025.

“Through cooperative clusters, Nigerians will benefit from low-interest credits of N300,000-400,000,” he stated.

Olusegun further stated that the scheme aims to uplift vulnerable Nigerians, especially women and youth, by providing them with the resources to start or expand small businesses, thereby improving their livelihoods.

“2025 promises to be a year of rewards for all Nigerians who have had to go through ongoing economic reforms as the administration seeks to fulfil the Renewed Hope agenda,” Olusegun said.
