Transfer: Clubs seal late signings as Liverpool strengthen defence

Clubs in the top five European leagues have completed 443 deals worth £260.2m as the January transfer window came to an end.
In order to strengthen their injury-ridden defence-line, Liverpool Football Club secured the signatures of two defenders before the close of the transfer window yesterday.
The Reds signed Ben Davies from Preston in a deal worth £1.6 million ($2.1m) with an initial payment of £500,000 for the 25 years old with a further £1.1m in performance related add ons. The club also sign 20 years old defender, Ozan Kabak, from Schalke 04 on a loan deal.
The club however let go of Takuno Minamino on a loan deal to Southampton.
Diego costa was released by Atlético Madrid and the striker is available as free agent while Lyon striker, Moussa Dembele joined Atlético on a loan deal
Luka jovic goes back to his former club (eintracht Frankfurt ) from Madrid on a loan deal
Mario mandzukic joins Milan as free agent from Juventus while Sami Khedira also parted ways with Juventus to Hertha Berlin on a free transfer.
Bournamouth’s 29 years old striker, Joshua King completes a deadline move to Everton for an undisclosed amount with Jonjoe Kenny and Cenk Tosun leaving Everton loan deals to Celtic and Besiktas respectively.
Arsenal’s defender, Shkodran Mustafi was released on loan to join Schalke 04 after the club signed a 22year old midfielder, Martin Odegaard on loan and Mesut Ozil part away with to join Fenerbahce on free transfer.
Joe Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles complete loan moves from arsenal to Newcastle and West Brom Albion respectively.
In some of the deals completed during the transfer window, Jesse Lingard was released by Manchester United to join West Ham United while the Red Devil’s secured the signature of Amad Diallo from Atalanta in a deal worth €18.7m .
Chelsea’s centre back, Fikayo Tomori joins Milan on a loan deal.
