The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants to the Governor from Owo and Ose Local Government Areas have been advised to work assiduously for the outstanding success of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming governorship election in the Ondo State.

The Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, mni, who spoke in Owo while hosting the new appointees at the APC Campaign Office called for fresh strategies that will ensure that past election results recorded by Owo and Ose Local Governments Areas are doubled in the forthcoming election.

“Results by APC in recent elections in Owo have been between Thirty-five Thousand to Thirty-six Thousand votes.

“Now is time to double these figures to a minimum of Seventy Thousand votes through strategic mobilisation”, the Deputy Governor said.

Dr Adelami said the new appointees must bring to bare their political capacities and connections from the Units, Wards and Local Government Area levels so as to make the forthcoming governorship election outstandingly different by recording a landmark victory for the APC in the 16th November election in Ondo State.

“You must mobilise the electorate to ensure that APC records at least 70,000 votes out of the 110,000 registered voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission”, he said.

The Deputy Governor used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the appointments of the new state officials with assurance that their coming on board at this time will boost the support-base of the Aiyedatiwa Administration.

He said : The essence of your coming on board at this time is to mobilise support for the Ayedatiwa Administration”.

Dr Adelami also charged the appointees to be agents of unity within the established structures of the party, adding that their respective success would determine their political heights in government.

Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Political and Public Policy Prince Ademola Taofeek Adewale presented the appointees to the Deputy Governor with assurances of value addition to the political fortune of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Highpoint of the event was cutting of tape to the Relationship Office where the Deputy Governor will constantly relate with the people.
