As the Osun state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal delivers judgment today, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been urged to remain calm and not feel downhearted
The state Secretary of the party, Mr Rasak Salinsile who disclosed this in Osogbo on Wednesday expressed optimism that the members of the party would have no cause to feel downhearted saying there is no cause for alarm.
It would be recalled that Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, had challenged the victory of the All Progressives Congress flag bearer, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, in the September 22, Osun gubernatorial election.
However, the election Petition Tribunal in a letter sent to all the parties involved in the matter expressed its readiness to give its verdict on the matter this week Friday, March 22, 2019.
Salinsile while urging people of the state, especially members of the party to remain calm and peaceful said there is no need for them to be worried about what is likely to be the outcome of the judgement, saying the people of the state have spoken through their votes.
He expressed confidence that the will of the people who had trooped out enmasses to cast their votes for APC during the gubernatorial poll would not be pacified saying ‘we shall all rejoice come Friday by God’s grace’
He urged the party’s loyalists to pray fervently for Governor Oyetola’s victory at the Tribunal, saying the party believes so much in efficacy of prayer and with prayer, nothing is impossible’.
