The remains of late Overseer Samuel Kolawole Alfred, father of Mr Bamidele Kolawole, a reporter with The Hope have been interred after a burial service held at The Apostolic Church, Ayila Street, Ode Aye in Okitipupa Local Government.
Delivering his sermon at the event, Apostle E. O. Ola said the spiritual home built by the faithful can never be destroyed even when one’s life on earth is demolished.
Quoting from John chapter 14 verse one downward, Apostolic Ola said once the life is taken from the body housing it, the soul will be given another body which can never be destroyed, noting that death is inevitable.
“Your spiritual home shall stand to meet the Lord. Trust and believe in God because he has mansions prepared for believers at the end of our race on earth,” he stated.
At the interment, Pastor Aye who described the grave as the departure point ‘ Orita Ipinya” said it is the final place people escorting the dead would return and where the dead begins his final journey home.
He observed that late Pa Alfred was a man who respected men of God so much, calling on the children to ensure that they contribute towards the development of the church as well as sustain the good work of the deceased so that he would be remembered at all times.
Earlier Pastor Borishade charged people to search themselves and amend their ways to seek the kingdom of God.
He said they should emulate all the good work of Christ and accept him as their Lord and saviour, saying no one knows when he will be called back home.
” What will you be remembered for and how have you lived your life and what are you going to account for when the appointed time comes?” he asked.
In their separate tributes to Pa Alfred, families expressed their love and described him as a man of inestimable values, original Abiyamo, disciplined, honest, caring, loving, pleasant, principled, vibrant and strong hearted man.
His wife, Mrs Kolawole Alfred prayed that his soul rest in peace.’
