Turning waste into wealth ’ll address economic challenges– Aiyedatiwa

Ondo state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has lauded the innovative initiative of turning waste into wealth, emphasizing its significant contribution to the economy.

He said, “The initiative of turning waste into wealth is commendable and stresses the ingenuity needed to address economic challenges. Repurposing materials not only mitigates environmental impact but also stimulates economic growth.”

He made this call during a meeting with the Auctioneers Association, on Tuesday in his office in Akure, where they engaged in a dialogue aimed at exploring innovative economic strategies.

Aiyedatiwa commended the association’s proactive approach, acknowledging its significant contribution to the economy.

He expressed, “I commend the Auctioneers Association for their proactive stance in addressing economic challenges. The association’s aim and objective is a testament to your commitment to finding innovative solutions for our economic well-being not just in ondo state but as a nation”

Led by State Chairman of Auctioneers, Chief Adedoyin Oni, also conveyed their condolences on the demise of the late governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and felicitations to the governor.

Chief Oni stressed the association’s commitment to converting waste into wealth and contributing to government revenue.

He, on behalf of the association pledged their unwavering loyalty to the governor’s administration during the visit, stating, “We are dedicated to transforming waste into resources that benefit our economy and society as a whole. Your Excellency, we stand ready to support your vision for our state.”

During the visit, the association presented a document titled “A Short Write-Up on Waste: Running the Affairs in the Face of Global Economic Meltdown” for the governor’s review. Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed keen interest in delving into the document to gain a comprehensive understanding of its content and implications.

He remarked, “I look forward to reviewing this document in detail. It is crucial for us to explore innovative strategies to navigate the economic landscape effectively.”

The meeting concluded on a positive note with mutual appreciation and a commitment to exploring collaborative efforts in addressing economic challenges and advancing sustainable development initiatives under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.

Also in attendance are; Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa.
