Two arraigned for stealing phone accessories

Two men have been arraigned before an Iwaro-Oka Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State, for allegedly stealing phone accessories and other valuables.
The defendants, 24-year old Temitope Itunuoluwa and 30-year old Kolawole Julius, were brought before Magistrate B.A. Ikusika, on a three-count charge bordering on stealing.
According to the prosecution, the duo committed the offence on February 27, 2025 at about 5:00 a.m. at AAUA Small Gate, Ibaka Quarters, Akungba.
The police prosecutor, Boboye Olasunkanmi, told the court that the defendants broke into a shop and carted away various items; including an HP ProBook laptop, an HP Folio 9470 laptop, an HP Revolve laptop, an HP 1040 laptop.
The stolen goods were valued at N3.1 million, belonging to one Kosemani Abiodun Emmanuel.
The prosecution stated that the offences contravened Sections 516, 413, and 383 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
Inspector Boboye requested an adjournment to enable him to study the case file and assemble witnesses for trial.
Magistrate Ikusika adjourned the case till April 16, 2025, for further hearing.
