A car driver has plunged his vehicle into a ditch by the roadside in a lone accident in Ondo West Local Government Area of the State.

At the scene of the accident, which occurred on Monday evening around 8 pm, the car was found upside down with all its tyres facing the sky.

The incident took place at FF area in Ondo City, along Ore Road.

According to findings by The Hope, two people lost their lives while others sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Confirming the incident, the leader of the FRSC in the city, who requested anonymity, attributed the accident to overspeeding.

He advised travellers, particularly private and commercial drivers, to inspect their vehicles before setting out and to take necessary precautions on the road.
