Two persons have reportedly died on Monday during the ongoing crisis which engulfed Ikare Akoko, Akoko Northeast local government area of Ondo State.
The Hope gathered that residents scampered for safety as sporadic gunshots rent the air.
The incident forced shop owners to close for the day, while commercial activities were grounded.
The cause of the crisis is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, security agents are said to be on ground to ensure peace in the ancient town.
