Two persons were killed while one  sustained injury in an accident which occurred at Ajegunle area in Ore, Ondo State.

The accident which occurred on Sunday evening, involved an unmarked trailer and a motorcycle.

An eyewitness account said that the truck driver, who was on high speed, ran off his lane and ram into the motorcycle. He hit the victims  on the bike.

“The driver who was on a top speed, suddenly hit the motorcycle and left the two persons dead, while the other passenger was severely injured.

“Having noticed that an accident had occurred, the driver drove off,” he said.

Confirming the incident to The Hope Metro via phone call, an FRSC source revealed that two male adults and a female adult were involved in the accident.

He said the two men died and the female severely injured.

“ The suspected cause of the accident is excessive speed. The trailer driver rammed into the motorcycle due to overspeeding.

“Motorists are hereby warned to desist from speeding, majorly on highways,”he said.

The injured victim, our correspondent learnt, had been taken to the hospital for treatment, while the corpses of the victims had been deposited at the morgue.
