Two in court for church breaking

Police have arraigned two Men, Wasiu Saka, 32, and Adekanye Ayobami, 20, before an Akure Magistrate’ court for allegedly breaking into a church and stealing.
According to the prosecution, the defendant and other now at large committed the offence between the Month of February and June 2, 2020 at about 1:30am along Onigari area, Irese Road, Akure within the jurisdiction of the court.
The accused persons were charged on five counts of conspiracy, felony, shop breaking and stealing.
The accused person and others now at large, did break inti Targem Church of God and stole twenty pieces of Ankara clothes valued at about #100,000.00, Musical Instruments and Microphone N500.000.00, the total value which was put at N600.000.00.
According to the charge, the defendants also broke into the shop of one Ayodele Bobade, M, with intent to commit felony therein.
The offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 516, 416, 390,(9), 415, and 413 of the Criminal Code, Cap, 37 Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State 2006.
The prosecutor, inspector Uloh Goodluck, prayed for a very short adjournment date for necessary preparation.
The lawyer representing the defendants Mr, Isaac Adubazi, did not oppose the adjournment date sought by the Prosecutor.
Magistrate N.T Aladejana adjourned the case till August 13, 2020, while he ordered that the defendants be remanded in SARC custody.
