Two people have been reportedly shot dead in Igbokoda, the headquarter of Ilaje Local government area of Ondo state in connection with the ongoing land dispute.
The recent killing made it 23 death over the protracted land issue which started May this year.
The clash which resurgent yesterday claimed the lives of Idowu Agbude (Keke Napep Rider) and Asogbon Obayomi.
Ilaje Public Relation Officer(PRO) on security matters, Prince Emorioloye Owolemi, confirmed the occurrence. He lamented the some cultist groups exploited the crisis .
According to the PRO, the crisis has been in existence since 2012.
Owolemi, noted that the people of Igbokoda, in Ilaje LG have been living in fear since 2012 saying that no one is free even to speak and this is affecting the town .
Also, the Chairman, Ilaje Local Government, Mr Olamigoke Jatuwase said the security agencies are already on the ground to calm the situation”However, I have visited Akure, the state capital to report the case and to the state Government I believe is putting a lasting to the solution in place,” Jatuwase said.
