UNAB students laud Ekiti First Lady

…praise her promotion of academic excellence
Ekiti State First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, was celebrated at the University of Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, after delivering an engaging two-hour lecture to 300-level students of Education Management.
The lecture, part of Dr. Oyebanji’s ongoing community service initiative since assuming office, focused on the fundamentals and theories of leadership.
Commending her selfless service, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ayodele, praised Dr. Oyebanji for taking time out of her busy schedule to teach at the state university.
Prof. Ayodele lauded her for voluntarily teaching on a pro bono basis, expressing his delight at the impact of her efforts.
He noted that her recent elevation to the academic rank of Associate Professor was likely influenced by her dedication to education and service to humanity.
The governor of the benefiting class, Waheed Emmanuel Timilehin, shared the students’ excitement, particularly appreciating the interactive approach adopted by Dr. Oyebanji.
“It was a moment we all looked forward to, and we were not disappointed.
“Those who experienced her humanitarian gesture last session had already set our expectations high, and we got more than we bargained for.
“The First Lady has proven to be a natural teacher. She is humble, approachable, and made the class highly interactive,” Emmanuel said.
During her lecture on leadership, Dr. Oyebanji encouraged students to embrace the qualities of good leadership, emphasizing that such traits could help curb moral decadence in the society.
Since assuming office, Dr. Oyebanji has made it a priority to teach in higher institutions across the state, including both public and private universities.
