An unidentified corpse has been found near the Nigeria Correctional Service, Olokuta Prisons, along Ondo Road in the Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The Hope Metro gathered that residents are seeking the evacuation of a mentally deranged person killed by a hit-and-run driver.

It was also reported that a mentally challenged man was killed by a hit-and-run driver along the Ondo-Akure Highway, just before the Nigeria Correctional Service, Olokuta.

According to passersby and residents of nearby communities, the lifeless body of the man was discovered in the early hours of yesterday and has remained on the tarred road.

They have called on relevant government agencies to evacuate the decaying corpse to prevent the outbreak of an epidemic.
