The Governing Council of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo city, has approved the appointment of Mr Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran as the third substantive Registrar of the institution.
The council announced the appointment at its 23rd meeting held on Thursday, 22 August 2024. Adeniran officially assumes office today, Monday, 6 January 2025.
Adeniran is a seasoned administrator with over 16 years of cognate experience in university administration.
He has worked in federal, state, and private universities, equipping him with a solid grounding in the administration of institutions with diverse proprietorial funding structures.
The newly appointed Registrar holds a Master’s Degree in Health Law & Policy from the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State; a Master’s Degree in Business Administration specialising in Human Resource Management and General Management; and a Diploma in Leadership and Business Management, both from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He also holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
A man who leads by example, Mr Adeniran has been recognised with the Sunshine Role Model Award and the Adekunle Ajasin University Distinguished Alumni Award. His dedication and diligence have earned him honours both locally and internationally.
He is a consummate professional and a member of top-rated professional bodies. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA) and a member of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
With extensive experience spanning all divisions of the registry and the entire university system, Mr Adeniran’s understanding of the requirements of the Office of the Registrar in the 21st century is expected to propel UNIMED to greater heights.
