Valentine, time for selfless love

Valentine entails showing love, care, concern and affection towards all humans. It is also a day to remember loved ones, both living and the dead.

These are the views of a Nigerian Master of Ceremony (MC), Abiodun Ebun, popularly known as Ebunlomo.

He said “Valentine’s Day is just like any other day, and if one can easily hookup with a lady on ordinary day, then Valentine’s Day should not be an exception.”

“If the right choice comes on Valentine’s Day, there is nothing bad if one woo such lady,” he explained.

Speaking during an interview with Friday Extravaganza, Ebunlomo noted that Valentine’s Day is a day specially set aside across the globe to commemorate a man who died for the cause of love,  who expanded the principle of sharing love not just with loved ones, but also with those who have wronged us in one way or the other.

According to him, It is a day to make peace with people and to forgive those who have offended you, and to reconcile any form of difference people might have with others.

He noted that February 14, was never meant for attraction to opposite sex, but to show love to everyone around us.

Ebunlomo posited that one can hardly see a decent lady  on February 14, saying majority of the ladies roaming the streets on this day will either be for someone to lavish money on them or looking for whom to flirt with.

He noted that what is very common in society today is not the true reflection of what Valentine’s Day stands for, saying it has now turned to a day to promote immorality and indecency among the youth.

He assured his fans and friends that he will serve them better at all time.
