We can now access TETFUND-Olawoye

The change in status from the Ondo State School of Health Technology to the State College of Health Technology will facilitate improvement in the quality of education in the school and by extension the state.
This was the submission of the Provost of the college, Dr. Felix Olawoye while speaking with The Hope in Akure.
According to him, it will enable the school access the Tertiary Institution Funds, adding that the students will also be privileged to access the stipend given to students for industrial training.
While noting that the school is set to enjoy the accreditation of more courses by the National Board for Technical Education, he commended the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the gesture describing him as a leader whose footprints are all over the state.
Olawoye explained that there will be change in designation saying “the Principal becomes Provost, we will now also have Deans of Schools instead of department etc.”
While stating that the existing structures will accommodate the new transformation, he hinted that more courses will be offered through JAMB adding that the students can now undergo the mandatory National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) on completion of their courses in the school.
According to him, “There will be change in the psychology of the students as they will be at par with some of their counterparts in other institutions.”
While charging the members of staff to engage in research works in order to earn more promotion, he called for support for the government of the state in order to facilitate more development in the state.
However, he urged the students to be more dedicated to their studies adding that discipline must be sacrosanct.
Also speaking with The Hope, SUG President of the institution, Comr. Omoboyowa Oyewole expressed appreciation to God and the government for the development describing it as an unprecedented achievement.
While commending the management of the school for its various achievements, he however stressed the need for students to adhere strictly to the laid down rules and regulations of the school adding that “they should face their studies and shun all forms of distractions.”
