Oluwateru, a former Deputy Governor in the state said he was at the former Deputy Governors’ conference held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

“I’m very much with my party as a member of the Board of Trustees” he said

On his own, Chief Segun Adegoke said his absence was as a result of his health challenges and not that he shunned the party.

He said ” why I did not go for the inauguration was that I was a bit down on malaria and I called the state Chairman of our party and explained myself to him. The PDP chieftain  pledged his full support for the party and by extension its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“I am one hundred percent PDP man and i will support all candidates of the PDP in the state, local government and even the presidential candidate. I am an Atiku man,” Adegoke stressed.

He said the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko didn’t attend the inauguration because of his loyalty to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
