’We ‘ll continue to deliver masses oriented projects’

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has reiterated his administration determination to continue to embark on projects that have direct impact on the well-being of people of the state.

Governor Akeredolu made the disclosure during the 6th Ore Day celebration held at the Government Field, Okitipupa road, Ore at the weekend.

He called for a collaborative understanding to develop the state, saying the several ongoing and completed projects his administration initiated are for the overall benefits of the people.

He revealed at the occasion that ten industries would be cited at Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area which would employ the teeming unemployed youths in the state as well as improving the socio-economic development of the State.

Akeredolu who described the ancient town as the commercial nerve of the state, said the present administration has taken a giant step to restore power to the region as well as improving on the epileptic electricity in the state.

Governor Akeredolu who announced that the textile industry in the industrial hub would soon take off, directed women in the area to put forward their application for jobs.

On the ongoing projects in the axis, He enjoined the residents to cooperate with the state government and Contractors throughout for timely completion of those projects.

The Governor however, implored the electorate in the Local government to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

Earlier, the Olore of Ore, Oba Adeolu Olatomide had applauded the Akeredolu-led administration for the numerous on-going projects in the town, especially the Fly-over bridge which he said would curb incidence of road crashes on the ever-busy road.

Oba Olatomide who said the annual festival was meant to unite sons and daughters of the town to deliberate and fashion out ways to develop it, however, pledged the community’s continued loyalty and support for the Governor and the success of his administration.

The monarch enjoined everyone to contribute to the development their communities as government can not do it alone.

Deputy Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Ogundeji Iroju who thanked the Governor for the various projects he embarked on in the region, pledged that the residents would reciprocate the gestures by cooperating with government for continuous development of the area.

He also admonished people of the area and the generality of people of the state, to reward the Governor’s efforts at transforming the state through various departmental projects by voting for President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2019 general election.

Highpoints of the Anniversary included presentation of Award of Excellence to Governor Akeredolu and fund raising for the new Olore Palace.
