We ’ll expand students horizon- Osun D-Gov

The Osun State Government has restated its determination to widen the scope of knowledge of students beyond the classroom.
The Deputy Governor, Mr Benedict Alabi disclosed this during a visit to some schools in Osogbo on Tuesday.
He said the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola is poised at sustaining the tempo of academic activities in the state.
While addressing the students, Alabi advised them to be focused on their studies, noting that their future will be determined by their current performance.
The deputy governor, who enumerated policies aimed at ensuring quality education in the state, assured them that the state government will not relent in its implementation.
He stressed the need for exposure saying it is necessary in view of the dynamic nature of education.
Alabi admonished the students to allow the knowledge acquired manifest in their academic performance.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Mr Fatai Kolawole commended the state government for the initiative.
Kolawole listed the activities the students have been engaged with in order to enhance their knowledge.
He said they were being exposed to sporting activities, excursions and participation in Asa day to enhance their learning.
He stated that the activities have impacted positively on the students, both in learning and character.
