We ‘ll make Nigeria great again

Ahead of the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections, eligible voters  in Odigbo area of Ondo state have promised to move Nigeria great next Saturday by coming out to exercise their civic rights.

This position was canvassed by some Nigerians while speaking with The Hope in Ore, insisting that voting enmasse will determine who leads the country in the next four years.

In  his comment, a  community leader, Chief Ademola Adesina called on all stakeholders, especially the political actors, to put the nation’s interest above their personal ambitions and work towards strengthening the nation’s democracy.

He said the electorate should not relent in their efforts to make Nigeria great again despite the postponement of the general elections last week.

“Nigerians should not see the postponement, as a disappointment but they should all come out en-masse and vote the leader of their choice tomorrow.

“We must be prepared and ready to choose competent leaders through our votes. We must not sell our votes, when you sell your vote, you are selling the future generation”.

Adesina posited that, “If you have ever asked if Nigeria can be better, coming out to vote and bringing your friends and relatives who have PVCs out to vote tomorrow will be your answer.”

In his view, a pastor, who does not want his name in the print said, “We have told our people why we should  all go out and vote according to our conscience. It is necessary to sensitise the public”.

He appealed to Nigerians who have Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the nation to ensure that they come out to vote on February 23, 2019, adding that with high voters turnout, the results of the election cannot be manipulated.
