We ‘ll make Ondo Teqball talent hub – Association chair

Chairman of Teqball Association in Ondo state, Seun Betiku has said that his target is to make Ondo State a Teqball talent hub.

Betiku urged sports enthusiasts and philanthropists within and outside the state to support the development of the game in Ondo State.

“I want to plead with individuals, the private sector, groups to take a cue from People United By Sports who are the sole sponsor of ‘Odatiwa’ Ambassadors to the world championship qualifiers by supporting the sports in Ondo State.”

He stated this in a chat with newsmen in Akure, the state capital on Thursday.

He disclosed that Ondo State representatives tagged: ‘Odatiwa’ Ambassadors are currently competing in the ongoing Teqball 2024 World Championship Qualifiers in Abia State.

The Wold championship qualifiers kicked off on Wednesday with our male player, Dotun Olafisoye already won two games to qualify for quarter final after he came second in group C .

He reiterated that Ondo State is hoping for something good from the qualifiers.

He advised parents to encourage their children to play Teqball, saying it is one the fastest growing games in the world.

He also admonished professional footballers to play the game, saying they have more to gain in playing it.

According to him, “Teqball will increase their skills on how to control ball, giving accurate passes and it will make them to be precise.”

“Ondo State embraced Teqball two years ago and to the glory of God we are doing very well.”
