We use BOWFT tourney to prepare for NWFL —Sunshine Queens coach

Sunshine Queens Head Coach, Tayo Onilude has said her side were in the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament (BOWFT) to prepare for the forthcoming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
Onilude said this in her post-match interview with newsmen after her team defeated Confluence Queens 1-0 at the day two of the competition.
Sunshine Queens midfielder, Taiwo Ajibade’s 28th minute lone goal was enough for the team to coast home with three maximum points in group C encounter.
Onilude, who added that her team would not underrate any opponent, assured supporters that the team was not also in the tournament for the fun of it, but to win the competition.
“I thank God for the victory, my girls played to the instructions and that’s what gave us the victory. By God’s grace we are winning our next match against Kaduna Queens and we will be on top of the table,” she said.
Onilude, when asked why such level of confidence, she said: “I am not underrating any team, after all we are all in the premier league together, meanwhile football is a dynamic game, I am sure with the calibre of players I have here, we will win our next game.”
Sunshine Queens play Kaduna Queens on Wednesday, at UNIBEN Sports Complex, in a postponed match day one encounter of the tournament.
