Welfare: Disables commend Akeredolu

The Joint National Association of persons with disabilities , Ondo state chapter has commended governor Oluwatimi Akeredolu for prioritizing the welfare of persons living with disabilities across the state.

A statement by the Chairman of the Association in the state comrade Abiola Abiodun gave the commendation On the occasion of this year’s International Day for Persons with Disabilities with the theme empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality.

The statement added that the Association expressed gratitude to governor Akeredolu over what it called his unflinching support for the persons living with disabilities even without being pestered .

According to the statement, the governor has been sincere with all his electoral promises particularly the appointment of a special Assistant on persons with disabilities and therefore

sought for the prompt release of their annual  grants which has in turn made it easier for them to run the activities of the association.

“We thank Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for his attention and care for us since his assumption of office. The office of the Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Special Persons that gave us is a great achievement in demonstrating full inclusiveness and equality into democratic and ways of lives “
