Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to deliver quality leadership and good governance to the people of the state.
Speaking to his supporters and well wishes at the Akure airport on Tuesday following his successful collection of the certificate of return in Abuja, Aiyedatiwa emphasized his commitment to ongoing initiatives such as infrastructural development, quality healthcare, education, security, and creating a conducive business environment to attract investors and foster further development.
“We are committed to providing the people of Ondo State with quality leadership and good governance, continuing our efforts in infrastructure development, enhancing healthcare services, ensuring security, and safeguarding lives and property. Our focus remains on fostering comprehensive development across the state.” He said
Expressing his gratitude to supporters for their warm welcome, the governor highlighted the collective responsibility to uphold the mandate entrusted to him, urging continued advocacy at the grassroots level.
He stressed that although the official campaign had not yet begun, it was crucial for everyone to disseminate the message across various units, wards, and local governments.
Furthermore, Aiyedatiwa solicited additional support and cooperation from the people while acknowledging the understanding and sportsmanship displayed by fellow contestants in the APC primary election.
He characterized the primary election as an internal family affair, expressing appreciation for the unity within the party despite the competitive nature of the process.
“This overwhelming support demonstrates that the people of Ondo State have made the right choice. I have collected my certificate of return as your candidate to continue serving as governor of Ondo State. The mandate entrusted to me is not mine alone; it belongs to all of us, and we must be prepared to defend it together”
“The APC primary election on the April 20 was an internal party matter, with 16 qualified candidates vying to represent the party. While I emerged as the flag bearer, we remain one family. I appreciate the sportsmanship displayed by my fellow contestants after the election. Although the official campaign will start fully in June, now is not the time to rest or relax. I urge you all to continue spreading the Odatiwa Odirorun” he added.
