We’ll flush out criminals from Ondo forests–Police Commissioner

By Tola Gbadamosi

The new Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Taiwo Jesubiyi has noted that his command and other security agencies in the state would embark on flushing out criminals from the forests in the state.

He stated this on Monday at the command’s headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure, while addressing newsmen.

The 42nd CP in the state said under his leadership, the command would review the existing strategy and make the state inhabitable for criminals.

He explained that his command would, in synergy with other security agencies, storm forests in borders of Kogi and Edo states

Jesubiyi, who was CP Force CID Annex, disclosed that he had been briefed on the black spots and other security situations in the state.

He said: “I am here with my management team to do police job with fear of God. We will review existing strategy and come up with improved one to reduce crime rate in the state.

“With the support of the state government and cooperation of the public, we will go a long way because security is not a one man job.

“I implore all stakeholders, particularly the public and the media to work with the police to bring crime to barest minimum if at all we can’t stamp it out.

“I have been briefed and our plan is to work in synergy with other sister agencies to comb the forest leading to Kogi and Edo states to flush out criminals that are hiding in the forests.”
