Wesley, AFUED partner on research, exchange programmes

In a bid to strengthen academic ties and foster mutual development, the management of Wesley University, Ondo, has indicated interest in forging a strategic partnership with the Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo (AFUED), through joint research ventures, faculty exchange and student mobility programmes.
The development was made known during a courtesy visit by the Wesley University delegation to the management of AFUED on Thursday in Ondo.
Leading the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor of Wesley University, Rt. Rev. Prof. Samuel Sunday Obeka, noted that the proposed collaboration aims to deepen institutional synergy and stimulate academic innovations across both universities.
Obeka said the institution is also ready to explore opportunities in faculty exchange programmes and student mobility initiatives that would further enrich the learning experience and academic performance of students in both institutions.
Receiving the visitors on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of AFUED, Prof. Samuel Akintunde, the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Abayomi Olajuyigbe, expressed appreciation for the proposal and commended Wesley University for the initiative.
He stressed the significance of inter-institutional collaborations in addressing contemporary academic and developmental challenges through shared knowledge and resources.
Describing the move as a step in the right direction, Olajuyigbe affirmed that both universities, being noted for their commitment to academic excellence and innovative research, stand to benefit immensely from such collaborative engagements.
The Wesley University team also included the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Yankey Ibijoke, and Acting Bursar, Mr. Kolawole Olasoji (FCA), who were part of the high-powered delegation.
