Comedian, Ayobami Ayo-Ajewole, aka Woli Agba, has denied the reports of rifts between him and other Alfa Sule members, Ayobami said, “All he does started from when he was a member of Alfa Sule.
“We have absolutely no issues. We all just decided to try different things. We are still together though our schedules take us to different places at different times.”
During an interview with Friday Extravaganza, he disclosed they are still together and even producing films.
People initially knew me as Alfa Sule back then. When I started uploading video skits, it brought back memories to them. A lot of people call me to anchor their events and right now, my calendar is booked for a long time. A lot of doors have been opened for me. It is always good to be relevant and my Instagram videos have brought me back to reckoning.”
According to him, social media comedians don’t have what it takes to do stand-up comedy, Ayo-Ajewole said, “That does not apply to me. I do my skits on stage and I also perform on stage. I anchor lots of events and the feedbacks I get from fans are refreshing.
“They have never discouraged me and I have never disappointed them. As a matter of fact, it is because of talks like that that I decided to organise today’s show so that people can see that we could also be spontaneous. Most of my video skits are not edited; I shoot them straight and that should tell you about my level of originality.”
While commenting on how he gets his inspiration, he said, “I get all my inspiration from the Holy Spirit. When you do things that are interesting and meaningful, people would have no choice but to give you audience.
Nowadays, people even call me names such Baba Ijo, Woli and Pastor. I just like to make people laugh, and I am glad for the positive responses I always get from fans.”
